Can I have fruit with my water.

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Fruit2O_GroupHorizontalI was excited to have the opportunity to try the Fruit 2o water. I have seen this water at my local grocery store, but I do not buy flavored water that often. In our house we mostly drink either water or lemonade, but to be able to increase my water intake and have a great flavor was a big plus for me.

The Fruit 2o water came packaged so cute. If it was packaged this way in the store, I think it would be a cute marketing tatic. Each flavored bottle came packaged how you would find it in the produce section. The orange flavored water was in a orange bag, the berry flavored water was in a container that various berries come packaged in. This packaging was a true example of the product. Every single bottle of water had a very fruity taste. My kids loved them. I enjoyed most of the water, but some were to fruity for me. I'm used to drinking plain water, so an overabudance of fruit flavor was a little to much at times. However, if I was someone who had a hard time drinking water, I would turn to this product becuase it helps overcome the taste of plain water.

During the hotter season. If you want to increase your or your childrens water intake. Snag up a couple bottles of Fruit 2o. You might be surprised how easy it is to get water in yourself and your kids. Fruit 2 o was given by the manufacturer for review. This review is my own personal opinion.

Music Box cd

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
The Music Box cd was a hit in The Nelson household. From my 2.5 year old up to my almost 8 year old they loved this cd. My oldest liked it so much that she wanted it put on her mp3 player, so she could listen to it anytime she wanted. Her favorite song's is the Red Carndinal and the Hot Chocolate fairy. Warning kid's will be requesting Hot Chocolate after this song. My 6 year old is my biggest helper and request this cd every time we clean. She dances to it as she wipe's down things. My favorite song is Family The first time I heard it I was like ok this is a little weird but the more I listened the more I caught my self singing it.

Mary Kaye is a wonderful musician that gets your children imagination going. It will have your child up dancing and singing along from the very first song Under the Moon to the last one Sleepy Land.

Music box cd is available for 15 dollars on July 2nd at www.Marykayemusic.com She also has three other cd's available. Spin your Web, Mouse Jamboree and I Sang it Just for You. Check them out while you are at her site.

This Cd was given by the artist for review

Note To Self

Monday, November 17th, 2008
By Samara O'Shea When I read this book it made me want to journal again. I haven't in about twenty years! Being a mother of six it is difficult to make the time. I also fear that someone may read it! Now, because of this book, I've come to realize the beauty of opening yourself up onto the page, and how enlightening it is. I’m still nervous about someone reading it though! This book guides you through exercises that will help you put your thoughts and feeling down on paper. The author features excerpts from the author's journals; including: Anne Frank, Sylvia Plath, Joyce Carol Oates and others. The book is very sweet and open. Samara O'Shea completely exposed herself and her journal in order to guide us through the process of journaling for ourselves. This is a very good book for anyone who wants to journal or even a gift for a loved one who journals or would like to.

One Perfect Day by Lauraine Snelling

Monday, November 10th, 2008
All that Nora and Jenna want for their families is a perfect Christmas. Although these families are very different, and are even in different towns their lives intertwine in a way that they can never imagine. One Perfect Day is a novel that will tear your heart out of your chest, rip it into shreds yet still keeps your hope that life will be better for the families after this perfect day is over. God always tests the best of us, but these families have been tested in ways that most will never experience.
This is a great book for your book club, and includes a Reading Group Guide in the back. Make yourself a cup of cocoa and grab a throw and some tissues. This book will not let go of your heart long after you've put it down. Snelling has yet again written a sure fire bestseller!

Celebrate Green

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008
A few weeks ago I received Celebrate Green in the mail.  This book provides ideas on how to turn any occasion into a "greener" one.  First off, let my start by saying I’m not the greenest person out there.  I’m probably not even halfway there.  Our family does pay for curb side recycling and we recycle everything we possible can that way.  I also go out of my way to recycle one other thing that can't be picked up thru our curb side service.  However, that is the end of me being green.  I have big hopes of one day furthering my abilities to help the environment and this book is the perfect start for that.  The book breaks down almost every holiday you could possible celebrate in one year and gives you ideas and suggestions for being more environmental friendly.   I like that this book can provide you with baby steps.  It helps you change in small ways, rather then feeling like you need to overhaul your whole life at once.  The suggestions are not complicated or feel its an extra hassle to do.  When it comes to celebrations I already have enough stress.  So, I enjoyed how easy most things seemed.  In addition to the celebration help, this book also has other information.  Thing such as recipes, product information and gift ideas can be found throughout the book.  For me, this is not a book that I would read from cover to cover.  Rather, I enjoy looking at it for specific events or just open up and start reading.  I absolutely love books that I can do that with.  They always seem new and fresh to me.  Check out the website.  I found some interesting stuff when I visted.
