Shortly after we started Simply Sensational Divas Review, I added to our family. We had a little girl back in 2008. (Has SSDR really been around that long??? WOW!!) Mid-August my husband and I (and our 5 other children) welcomed another little boy into the world.

Matthias James Ilmari came in at 9 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long. It was early in the morning of August 15th. Everyone wants to hold him and jump to do so if he squeaks in his sleep. I'm sure he will never learn to walk because his feet will never even touch the floor!

We are all recovering and adjusting well. However, life doesn't slow down very long! We have jumped right back into homeschooling and chores. With fall having already arrived here in northern Canada and public school starting, all the extra curriculum activities we normally participate are starting up in the next couple of weeks.

I have some great books that I have planned to review, just as soon as I get them read! One that I will share next month is called The Big Cook. Make sure you check it out. It will be a lifesaver for me and my family. (I don't like to cook, so cooking in larger quantities and freezing is a great thing, but this book is so much more than that!) Have a great day!

... Well, two of our families are anyway!  2010 is bringing the arrival of two sweet babies to the Divas!  LaDonna is adding child number 6 to her household in August and I am expecting little one number 2 in November! 

After those two little arrivals this year, the Divas count will be at 30 children (5 of those are all grown up and on their own) and 10 grandchildren!! The majority of those 40? Under 8 years old! That's a lot of little ones about, LOL!  It is only in this context that I can talk about having lots of kids, because personally? I think two will be just the right number for me.

The celebration will be going on all month long, August 1-31, 2009 and will culminate with a Twitter Bash August 31, 2009 (#ssdr).

We have been very hard at work creating this brand new blog and are excited to finally GO LIVE!!  This is a brand new venture for us and admittedly, we are a little nervous. However, that is nicely balanced out by the fact that we are overjoyed to be able to share "our new baby" with you.

Hi, My name is Stephanie, I am a 29 year old mother of three beautiful girls. I am married to a wonderful husband of 8 years, Half of those years he was in the Marine Corps. He went to boot camp 6 weeks after we got married. We then proceeded in the Marine tration on having babies. To my hubby's dismay all girls. Dosen't really bother me I'm terriefied to change a boys diaper :) But anyways My oldest is Michelle she is almost 7 in 1st. grade. Mikayla (kk) will be 5 in December. She is Daddy's little Tom boy. Baby will be two in Dec. really have to stop caling her that. Her name is Mikensey and is close to her terrible two's. Daddy is sure that he is gonna need a padded room and a double barrell shot gun when they are teenagers :)

Hi.  I'm a SAH, homeschooling mom of 4.  I've always loved to learn and reading is just one of the ways I get to do so.  I am so excited about this blog and working with these women in reviewing books! More about me.  I'm the only Canadian in the group.  I live in the northern part of Alberta with my family.  We currently have 3 girls - K is almost 7; CJ is almost 6; M turned 3 this summer and they have a younger brother, W, who will be 2 after Christmas.  In early November we expect to add brother or sister to our crew.  I have been married to J, the father of my children and my closest friend, for almost 8 years. Besides reading and learning, I don't really have any hobbies.  I am online a lot - communicating with friends and family, writing at my blog and working on my website a little here and there.  One of the things I am passionate about is pregnancy/birth/midwifery. Learning, learning, learning.  Every time I go to list something that I love or like or want to do, the word learning comes up.  I want to learn about this and learn to do that better.  I want to learn more history.  I want to read more stories/blogs/emails to get a better grasp on how others think and feel and learn from their experiences and then share that learning with others.  So I guess that the word to sum up who I am is: student.
