I’ve found it.  Fashion’s New Best Friend.  Created to eliminate the gap between shirt buttons, Peek-A-Boob strips also help to hide bra straps, secure wrap style skirts & shirts, secure revealing necklines, a quick fix for a hemline, and more.

It is the “more” where Peek-A-Book really came in handy for me.  These are small, heavy duty, double sided fabric tape strips and though the uses can truly be unlimited, it came to my rescue during my trip to Utah when I bought a pair of jeans that needed to be hemmed, but there wasn’t time to have them hemmed before I wore them. Peek-A-Boob to the rescue!  With the combination of Peek-A-Book strips, spray starch, and an iron, I was able to adjust the hem on the jeans and keep the look neat and clean.

The tin is small, perfect to slip into your purse… which is where you want to keep it because you never know when you might have a minor mishap and need a little fabric 911.

Could these little strips have saved some embarrassment??

Back in the day when I was in college we used to play The Dictionary Game whenever we had a large group of people gathered together. “It” would pick a word from the dictionary that he/she thought no one would know and we would each write down a made-up a definitions. “It” would read off all the definitions, including the correct one and everyone would try to guess which one was real. One time the word was “gaposis.” We all laughed at the definition “the gap between buttoned buttons” wondering who had made that one up, but in actuality it was the real definition.   Thirty years later Peek-A-Boob has come up with an answer to eradicate the word “gaposis” from the dictionary. These clever, clear, double-stick Peek-A-Boob strips are not only a quick fix for the gaps between buttoned buttons but for all things apparel related. You can use these strips to secure hems, bra straps, revealing necklines and more. These strips really work and they come in the cutest container ever! Just think, if only she had known about Peek-A-Boob strips Janet Jackson probably could have avoided that little “wardrobe malfunction” during her performance in the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show. ;)

The Peek-A-Boob Strips; That’s Right, Peek-a-BOOB!

You know, that gap in your blouse on your chest??? It's so bothersome. (I don't actually suffer from this, but I do know many who do!) I wanted to test these strips in another manner. I nurse a baby right now and sometimes I'd rather that my shirt didn't bunch or move quite as much, exposing me more than desired. And, of course, there is the occasional issue of cleavage.   I am impressed with these peek-a-boob strips. At first I didn't like them. I didn't think they were effective; they didn't stick, but I decided to give them another chance. I figured out what I had done wrong. I tried to re-stick. What happened was that I had put the strip in the wrong spot and had to reapply. You can't do that. You have to get a new strip.   Oh, and they stick to skin really well! More often than sticking cloth to cloth, I would use these strips to stick skin to cloth. They work for that! I am an active mom of five. I bend and twist in many different directions when getting kids into the car, or loading groceries and grabbing the hand of a toddler, or buckling car seats. One Sunday when testing these strips I was particularly active getting the kids settled in the vehicle and was surprised at the fact that my shirt was still stuck to me when I was done. And then after nursing the baby and through the rest of the day, I had no issues with the strips coming loose.   Overall, I think these strips are great - discrete, easy to use, quick to apply; they come in a neat little box (kinda looks like a box you'd get little mints in).  They are reasonably priced as well - 30 strips for under $10.  You can purchase them here through paypal, very easily.  Oh, and if you need refills for you neat little box, they sell them too - 60 strips for under $10!!!  These would make a great gift for you or for a friend.  Know someone with that terrible blouse gap????   Disclosure: The wonderful product was graciously sent to me by the company.

Peek-A-Boob Strips

The Peek-A-Boob Strips are a great little invention.  Funny how something so simple and small can make a big difference in our day to day fashion wardrobe.  I haven't had to much problem with my shirts gapping.  Mostly because I've been nursing or pregnant for the last couple of years.  Button up shirts have not been at the front of my closet for a while.  However, once I heard about these I could not wait to try them on my wrap sweaters.  I have one sweater that I have had for a really long time.  I love wearing it, but I constantly have to unwrap and fix and then rewrap it.  I placed one of these strips at the top of the sweater where I seem to have the most problems and it stayed all day no problem.  This sweater is very lightweight, so of course I had to try it on something heavy duty to give it a real test.  I have another sweater that's similar, however this sweater is very heavy and very thick.  I could not decide if I should try two of the strips or just stick to one single strip to see how well they really worked.  One single strip worked just fine.  Got me thru the day no problem.  When I tore these off at the end of the day, I had no problem taking them off, nor did they a bunch of material with it.  It's nice to find a product to solve this problem.  We have a relative getting married in a few months.  I plan on passing her a few to have just in case she has any last minute wardrobe glitches.  But, she can only have a few.  If she needs more than that, she'll have to plan ahead and order her own package because the rest are mine! Peek a boob strips are a God send. I love this product. I have a problem with almost all my shirts, When I bend over to help one of my three girls I always end up flashing someone. With the strips you just place a strip on your chest and the next time you bend over the shirt stays in place. I also used this product to keep a shirt from having a gap in between the buttons. This product is a must for every women. It comes in a cute little hot pink metal container. Perfect to put in your purse. The cost is 8.99 for 30 strips very worth the money. These neat little strips are quite clever. They can be used to seal gaps in your blouse, hold shirts to bra straps, or even keep those low V-neck shirts from dipping too low. The little tin they come with is absolutely perfect for any purse. I’m certain if you blow a button, these handy little strips would come right to the rescue too. What a clever idea for such a common problem!
