Music Box cd

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009
The Music Box cd was a hit in The Nelson household. From my 2.5 year old up to my almost 8 year old they loved this cd. My oldest liked it so much that she wanted it put on her mp3 player, so she could listen to it anytime she wanted. Her favorite song's is the Red Carndinal and the Hot Chocolate fairy. Warning kid's will be requesting Hot Chocolate after this song. My 6 year old is my biggest helper and request this cd every time we clean. She dances to it as she wipe's down things. My favorite song is Family The first time I heard it I was like ok this is a little weird but the more I listened the more I caught my self singing it.

Mary Kaye is a wonderful musician that gets your children imagination going. It will have your child up dancing and singing along from the very first song Under the Moon to the last one Sleepy Land.

Music box cd is available for 15 dollars on July 2nd at www.Marykayemusic.com She also has three other cd's available. Spin your Web, Mouse Jamboree and I Sang it Just for You. Check them out while you are at her site.

Music Box CD

Upbeat, catchy, and fun is what I loved about the Music Box cd by Mary Kaye. We received this in the mail as we were heading out one afternoon. My girls instantly enjoyed the upbeat music. I on the other hand, raised my eyebrow at first. Since then, my eyebrow has returned to its correct location and I have been belting out the lyrics too.

We mostly listen to CD's when the kids are along for the ride. Since we received the Music Box CD, my kids always ask for it at some point on our drive. My favorite song is "Bug" which is # 2 on the disc. I try to skip over # 1 which is called "Under the Moon", but my 2 year old has grown to have a liking for it, so I always have to go back. The rest of the CD is full of great catchy little songs as well. My 5 year old enjoys them all, often asking for me to repeat each song. Our baby (19 months) starts to sing the "Bug" song too. She just smiles and says some of the words here and there. This is the first song that she has done that with. My husband and my mother have also listened to the CD with us. The songs have put a smile on their face, especially when the girls sing along.

Head over to the Mary Kaye website and check out this CD, as well as others available. Other titles available are Spin Your Web, Mouse Jamboree, and I Sang It Just for You. Your kids will thank you!

Stay tuned for a giveaway from Mary Kaye during our Launch Party happening in August!

A Review of Mary Kaye’s “Music Box”

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

I'm not up on my music genres; my hubby says it's jazz; my kids beg to have "that new cd" put in the cd player.  It's funky and  it's fun.  It's upbeat enough to get us working on a clean up in the main room and get it done in no time.  And yet, it works at rest time too.  I've caught my girls singing along already and we haven't had the disc all that long.  The disc includes 12 original songs written by Mary Kaye, who sings them with a whole passel of kids, including two of her own.

Some of the titles include: BUG, FAMILY, HOBBLY DOBBLY HORSE and SLEEPY LAND.  This music is a current favorite in our home.  You can get your copy on or after July 2nd at Amazon.  Just click here.  You can even pre-order it.  Or, keep an eye out for a giveaway post, here at SSDR, to win a copy of this great music.

Visit the artist's website here.  Thank you, Mary Kaye, for being so wonderful to work with and for giving me the opportunity to review your newest release!
