This bowl is a great product. And does everything
the website and the packaging says it should. All the other testimonials are true. The bowl is very sturdy and well shaped for ease of feeding baby. The packaging was sturdy and shipped very well.
I allowed my rambunctious 2 year old to use the bowl and spoon for oatmeal one morning, because who wouldn't want to use such a beautiful item. (He had to be the squeakiest wheel to get it because his sisters wanted to use it too.) I think that was the cleanest he'd been after oatmeal ever. However, the spoon didn't last the meal. Before I knew what he was doing the spoon was snapped. It didn't break into two pieces as one might suspect because of the rubbery "jacket" on the spoon. It is still usable and very unique now.
I love how the bowl stays put on the table without suctioning right to the table top. I can pick it up without spilling the contents. You know what I mean. You can get those bowls that suction to the highchair tray and when you go to remove the dishes from the table you end up with soup flung across the room when suddenly the suction breaks loose! Not so with the Baby Dipper.
That being said, I have an issue with this bowl and that is its shape. The shape, although great for the intended purpose (feeding baby with the least amount of hassle), is not so great for storage. We have a large family and at times cupboard space is a rare commodity. I need bowls that stack well. Right now my favorite bowls are plain old white Corel. They stack well, are not bulky and don't break easily. This Baby Dipper does not fit well, not even on the top of the pile. I've tried a few things - on its side beside the other bowls; on top of the plates; with the cups. I'm really not sure where it will end up in my cupboards. But it is a favorite item right now, so it will not be going far!
