I was looking for something to get my kids a little bit active in the house as winter is coming fast and they won't be able to be outside as much. I thought that teaching them to do some actual dance steps might be fun. My little boy, almost 2, loves music so I knew anything musical would be a hit with him; the others were who I was a little unsure about.

I bought this dvd from Fantaztic Learning.

Here is what my children had to say about the dvd after watching it once or twice:

K, 7 year old girl: I love it! Because the dances are so cool. Well, the kids wear nice clothes and they have nice shoes. I guess it would be easy to learn the dances from that dvd. It's fun and I love the music.

CJ, 6 year old girl: It's a fun dvd. I liked to dance with it. I really want to keep it, not even give it away. I think I will be able to learn how to dance with those kids. I love the music. Dancing. Dancing. Dancing. That's all I like about it.

M, 3 year old girl: I like it because all of the kids are dancing. I like the music.

W, 20 month boy - He just jumped up and down and swiveled his hips and wiggled his arms and participated in any way his sisters made or let him!

Overall, in this house at least, the dvd seems to be a hit. I did find that the menu was hard to navigate. Now, this could be due to our very cheap dvd player, but I was unable to see where I was on the screen to select a specific song or dance or title. I had to guess which got old really fast. I love how the dance steps and words (were appropriate) are inside the case; there are subtitles and specific steps given on the screen as well. Then as a bonus the author included the histories of the dances!
