My girls love to paint their piggies and their finger nails. When Grandma and Grandpa come to visit, Grandma is required to bring her nail polish and to paint finger and toe nails; even little W wants in on the action. I am not a stickler for all things to be all-natural, but where I can I do. So when I heard that Piggy Paint was "As Natural As Mud" I was excited to see what it would really be like. We like mud around here.I received (from the company) a sample of nail polish and their polish remover. The color we got was a gold color with the cool name of Dandelion Dance. (We like dandelions around here; if you visit my personal blog - Just Our Thoughts - you'll see.) Neither bottle stinks! It's like I filled the bottle of nail polish remover with water, only it removes nail polish. My girls love it!
These nail colors do require an extra step or two for the application. The company sends very clear
directions, tips and hints with a purchase. If you apply an extra coat and use a hair dryer to set the color, you will have no problems. We didn't use the hair dryer and the polish has stayed on as well as any of Grandma's colors.
Because my mom does the nail painting when she comes to visit, I don't typically purchase nail color. I don't know what a good quality bottle of the stuff would cost, but these sell for 9.99 USD for a 15mL bottle. I do consider this to be a high quality product.
The website is very informative including a FAQ page, a product information page which includes a section on using Piggy Paint as a learning tool, and their SHOP page has "splotches" to show you what their bright colors will look like when you receive them.
