A few weeks ago I received Celebrate Green in the mail. This book provides ideas on how to turn any occasion into a "greener" one. First off, let my start by saying I’m not the greenest person out there. I’m probably not even halfway there. Our family does pay for curb side recycling and we recycle everything we possible can that way. I also go out of my way to recycle one other thing that can't be picked up thru our curb side service. However, that is the end of me being green. I have big hopes of one day furthering my abilities to help the environment and this book is the perfect start for that. The book breaks down almost every holiday you could possible celebrate in one year and gives you ideas and suggestions for being more environmental friendly. I like that this book can provide you with baby steps. It helps you change in small ways, rather then feeling like you need to overhaul your whole life at once. The suggestions are not complicated or feel its an extra hassle to do. When it comes to celebrations I already have enough stress. So, I enjoyed how easy most things seemed. In addition to the celebration help, this book also has other information. Thing such as recipes, product information and gift ideas can be found throughout the book. For me, this is not a book that I would read from cover to cover. Rather, I enjoy looking at it for specific events or just open up and start reading. I absolutely love books that I can do that with. They always seem new and fresh to me. Check out the website. I found some interesting stuff when I visted.
